Lori is the Creative Ministry Director at The Sanctuary Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she paints live during worship as a member of the worship team. Her illustrations have been featured in prominent publications by Waterbrook Press, Department of the Army Chaplain’s Association and Navigators to name a few. Lori lives with her hubby of 34 years, Nicholas and her chai-weenie, Chai. Her home studio is her place of worship and work where she creates and teaches classes. Much of her "extra" time is spent attending her adult daughter, Abi’s dance recitals and plays and leading the creative tribe at church.
On a free day I would... "hmm...explore the most beautiful place in the world (Colorado), probably hang out with friends, drink coffee, paint, hike, visit the zoo and eat some really good food. I so love to worship and would most certainly make that a thread the runs through any day." |
Sarah grew up with an artist mother who made creativity a part of daily life....drawing, painting, dancing, writing, decorating, even food! All of life was a canvas for expression and experimentation. Though art and creativity have always been a part of her life, she really discovered its power as an adult, when she encountered how God can speak directly to the heart of a person through a simple image. This has become one of her favorite ways to receive from Father God personally, and she loves watching Him bless others this way as well.
Sarah enjoys life in Colorado with her children, ages 12, 10, and 5. In this stay-at-home mom season, her life is full to overflowing with all the family things, many beloved friends, and an active business of designing, art commissions, and henna body art. On a free day I would.... "try to sleep in as late as I could, drink lots of yummy coffee, and then find a quiet space to sit and worship my Jesus. Maybe after that I’d go out to an interesting place to window shop. Oh! And I would want to eat something delicious. Having a friend along would make the day perfect! " |
